Meet surfer girl & JOLYN model, Eryn Krouse
Name: Eryn Krouse
Nickname: My waterpolo team called me Krousey.
What keeps you motivated to be active and healthy?
I’m currently in the process to be an ocean lifeguard and Academy will be in the Spring. Keeping in shape to be an ocean lifeguard has been my main motivation for the last couple years. I also model swimsuits, so keeping fit is necessary to look good in photos. I also love the way I feel when I’m active and healthy. It gives me an overall positive outlook on life.
What is your favorite dryland workout?
I personally don’t like dryland work-outs too much, but I know they’re good for me. As a water person, I just hate sweating! At the gym my go-to machine is the elliptical. However, I prefer to do dryland work-outs outdoors, like a hike or a run on the beach.
What activities do you do in JOLYN:
JOLYN is my go-to active bikini. I wear my JOLYN at swim practice and when I’m surfing.
What’s your favorite JOLYN color?
What’s your favorite JOLYN style and why?
The uniform top and Brazilian coverage bottoms because I believe it’s the most flattering with my body type. I love how it’s still active, but I can also wear it and feel cute.
What’s your favorite beach that you have been to and what beach is on your list to go to?
Lucky for me, my overall favorite beach is the spot closest to home: Malibu Surfrider. This is my weekend and summer escape when the waves are perfect and the water gets warm. The prettiest beach I’ve been to is Lanikai in Kailua, Oahu. Bondi beach in Australia and the Exumas in Bahamas are at the top of my list to go to next.
What nail polish color are you?
If you had to be an animal, what would you be and why?
A dolphin because they get to spend their lives swimming all over the place with their pod. Plus they’re super cute!
What book would you recommend to our readers?
Anything by Paulo Coelho- he’s one of my favorite authors!
What is something not many people know about you?
I grew up in a very musical family and played the violin for 10 years.
What would you spend your last $10 on?
An acai or poke bowl.
What is the hardest thing you’ve ever experienced?
Recovering from PRK Lasik eye surgery was the most painful thing I’ve ever gone through. Then I had to stay out of the pool and the ocean for a month!
What is your signature dish in the kitchen?
What is your favorite holiday destination?
What are 3 things on your bucket list?
Go to every continent. (My mom has already done this, and yes including Antarctica!)
Live in my dream house (within walking distance to the beach).
Scuba dive with whales
