Free Online Workouts When You're Stuck At Home
Updated: 04/21/2020
Finding yourself inside these days and unable to swim? We've got you covered with some of the best free home workout programs from awesome apps and channels. Some are for free trials that have been extended, so make sure you remember to cancel before the trial period ends if you don’t want to get charged. Take a look and let us know how you like these free at home workouts!
We will continuously update this list as we hear of more free home workout opportunities so if you have any favorites that we missed let us know on Instagram @jolynclothing!
Planet Fitness
Planet Fitness is offering free online classes starting March 16 on their Facebook page. They will be live streamed or can be watched later. They will be led by Planet Fitness instructors and will be 20 minutes or less.
CorePower Yoga
Free access to collection of online classes (limited time).
A bunch of us JOLYNers have taken CorePower’s in-studio classes and absolutely loved their challenging yoga flows, so we’re very excited (and appreciative!) to see they’ve extended their classes to the public online. Current selections include a handful of 30 - 60 minute classes, as well as some guided meditations. CorePower is typically a strong yoga flow, so get ready to sweat and shake a bit more than your average yoga class.

Daily Burn
Currently offering 60 days free access to their online workouts (their usual free trial is 30 days, after that access starts at $14.95 per month)
Daily Burn is an online fitness company that offers hundreds of ready-to-watch home workouts for women that cater to a number of fitness goals such as strength training, weight loss, ab workouts at home, and many more. Daily Burn membership also includes nutritional guidance and personalized recommendations, so it’s a good option if you aren’t exactly sure where to start when building your workout schedule.
Blogilates
Free!
Meet Cassey, your Blogilates fitness instructor! Cassey is fun, energetic and encouraging as she takes you through a variety of workouts that are pilates inspired. Most of them you can do without equipment and they are short and sweet. She even has monthly workout plans you can download to keep you on track and awesome healthy food and recipe videos (we love her easy snack ideas here!)
Try it out with a Pilates ring from Gaiam! Check out out here >>*
Pop Sugar Fitness
Free!
This free YouTube channel regularly covers the most buzzed-about workout classes and trends, including Barry’s Bootcamp, Tabata, P90X, Bar Method, and more. They cover a wide range of fitness levels and workout lengths, so it’s easy to find something challenging or a little more laid back. You can also pick from workouts with equipment, or pick from their many equipment free options. This is a great channel to find some great options for at home ab workouts that you can throw on while you listen to our latest JOLYN playlists!
One of our JOLYN staff members says “because this channel includes such a mixed bag of workout styles, it’s a great way to spice up my workout routine and try something completely new without a hefty price tag. The instructors are upbeat and positive, and since you’re in the privacy of your own home, you can let loose and try something totally different - like a Carribean Dance Workout! Sometimes you just want to get moving and have fun - PopSugar is a great channel for that!”
FitOn App
Free workout app
The app's workouts show you intensity level, time it takes to complete, and what you'll need - if anything (dumbbells, mat, etc.). There are many different instructors to choose from, which is great since not everyone responds to the same type of workout encouragement. We haven’t personally tried this app yet, but with celebrity guest trainers like Danielle Pascente and Johnathan Van Ness both on the platform, we’re planning on giving it a try!
Peloton
Peloton has extended their free trial to 30 Day Workouts - no bike needed (after the free trial it is $12.99/month)!
This is our Digital Marketing Manager’s favorite app to use because of how many classes there are and the variety. Besides bike and treadmill classes, they offer a wide selection of yoga, strength, stretching and meditation classes that range anywhere from 5 minute yoga classes to 45 minute strength classes. You can mix and match them to do something like 10 minute arms, 10 minute legs and 10 minute abs or you can opt to do a 30 min full body workout. Their instructors are excellent and there is great music to keep you having fun while sweating it out.
Barre3
Use code BARRE3HOMEBODY for 2 free weeks of online barre and fitness classes (after the first 2 weeks it will be $29/month).
Barre 3 offers hundreds of classes that you can do anywhere that are barre inspired. They also offer general fitness classes too and even some that require no equipment.
Madfit
Free!
Though we haven't tried MadFit yet, this was recommended by some of our Instagram followers! This channel is described as "an intense full body, fat burning, HIIT style, at home workout! No equipment needed, but the use one 1 dumbbell will increase the intensity." If you don't have a 1lb dumbbell, try a water bottle or a can of beans (or any other canned food item).
YogaWorks
This yoga channel offers a variety of yoga classes varying in length of class as well as style. Whether you need a relaxing yin class to wind down or a yoga sweat sesh - they got something for everyone!
