Show Rep and originally a New Yorker, Caren graduated from Colgate University where she swam all of the events everyone loves to hate (setting school and league records in events from the 200 fly, to the 400 IM and the freestyles from the 100 to the mile). Her distance swimming introduced her to the world of open water swimming while she was in high school and led her to the Jersey Shore to work and compete as a lifeguard during her summers.
Caren has competed in the 5K at USA Swimming Open Water Nationals, won 13 medals at her three USLA National competitions to date, and represented Team USA at International Lifesaving Competitions in Japan, and most recently, the Rescue 2014 World Championships in the South of France. This year, Caren moved to New Jersey to (live closer to the beach and) finish her Masters Degree in School Psychology.
Since Jolyn sponsored Team USA on her trip to Japan, Caren has been a huge fan of the brand. “I have never worn a suit so practical. Since I discovered Jolyn, I have not purchased another brand of bathing suit. Their vibrant colors and cute designs make it hard to stop adding to my collection. It has been awesome watching the brand spread from the lifeguarding world into the competitive swimming scene. I couldn’t be more excited to be the show rep for the Northeast region!”
