Day 1 recap 🗣 Event 1 - was a row / hs walk / pull over / hs walk backwards & closer to 3pm so the ground got nice and hott for us ladies. I made a mistake thinking my grips would be enough to protect my hands from the hott floor and immediately blistering them / taking my skin off. I was bummed because it was one of the workouts I was looking forward to. This made for an interesting start to the weekend. Event 2 - 300m swim, into a “Adventure race” that consisted of getting out of the water, frantically putting on your shoes to jog up a steep hill / jerry bag carry / throw & climb over some fences, run 1000m as fast as you can into 10 RMU. This was fun to be outside of your normal, although I told ironmile_ben & morrison_blair I wanted more ring MU’s 🤪 but props to some outside fun and getting to sprint alongside my coach zeus_boulder at the end while he helped hand me my grips before the RMU. Not many events where I’m sure I’ll get to have that experience again.
